Facilities

The house is completely fenced and includes three small bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen/living room, this charming property provides the necessary comfort for a relaxing stay. Equipped with a washing machine, an electric oven and a wood burner (salamander) in the kitchen, this house combines the charm of the countryside with modern comfort. Outside, guests can enjoy a barbecue area, plus two small plots of land with storage space and with fruit trees in the garden, such as olive, lime, lemon, orange and cherry trees and wild strawberries too. Guests can enjoy fresh produce directly from their own backyard.A notable feature of this home is its efficient heating and cooling system. With two modern air conditioners with A++ efficiency, keeping the house at an ideal temperature is easy, even on the hottest or coldest days. Just with either heating is enough to keep the house around 20-23 degrees throughout the winter which is quite unique for Portuguese houses. Thanks to the extremely thick walls, heat is preserved for almost 24 hours, providing a cozy and comfortable atmosphere all winter long.

Location and surroundings

Situated at the top of a quiet village, guests can enjoy nature walks, with stunning views of the mountains, enjoy the beautiful sunsets and Paiva river is at walking distance.In addition, the location of this home is simply sublime being strategically located just a 15-minute drive from Castro Daire, where guests can find all the necessary amenities, from shopping to medical appointments.

Additional conditions

One amazing characteristic of the winter about this location is that you have all the greenery scenery of Northern Portugal, but you have temperatures similar to the south. This is because the house is protected by a hill inclined to the south. I've measured 5 degrees more than Castro Daire in a some days for example. There is a small storage facility in the back garden. There is a plot of land of 1000 m2 that can be used to have some chickens, for example. The Internet and electricity are included for up to 50€ per month. The water is free. The only expense not included is a bottle of gas every month for the hot water. The monthly price is for stays 3 months and longer. For shorter stays (less than 3 months), our pricing breakdown is as below: October-March: 750€ April-May: 850€ June&September: 950€, July-August - 1600 Eur/month; There is a deposit of 1 month rent.
