Location and surroundings

QVF provides a rural retreat with modern facilities and good amenities for a perfect holiday experience.The cottage is situated inside Quinta do Vale Formoso and is within easy access of many historical tourist attractions, together with the beautiful silver coast and Lagon of Obidos with clean beaches and great water-sports.The local towns of Benedita and Rio Maior are just 5 Km distance, providing a full range of supermarkets, shops, bars, banks and health facilities. The area around QVF is dotted with points of interest, like Obidos, Fatima, The caves of Mira D'aire, the Natural Monument of the Dinosaur Footprints, Rio Maior Salt Pans, Nazaré and it's record-breaking giant waves, the Monastery of Alcobaça, the magnificent monastery of Batalha and many beautiful beaches each one with its own character!For indoors activities and games, there is a common area that can be accessed by the guests.There is an LCD TV with a large DVD library, varied board games, table tennis, darts and a table football game. Within the common area there is also a dining table and a rustic bar with a small fridge, we do not provide food or drink, but guests are welcome to use these premises.

Additional conditions

The Quinta is very secluded and outside the village, situated in a vale with no neighbors for at least a kilometer, it's the ideal setting for a relaxing retreat or to serve as a base to visit the amazing sites surrounding this area.If you are not travelling on your own car, car rental is highly recommended to take full advantage of what the area has to offer.
