Also known as the Concha (shell), the bay of São Martinho do Porto arises with the progressive silting up of the old lagoon, being nowadays a beach of distinct beauty in the shape of a shell. The Atlantic Ocean flows between the Morros do Farol and Morros de Sant’Ana. Today it is a place for family walks, par excellence, with a waterfront that runs along the entire beach. The area is quite lively during the bathing season. For those who like to camp there are two campsites about 3 minutes from the front of the beach.
