Elected as one of the 7 wonders of Portugal and classified by Unesco as a World Heritage Site the Monastery of Batalha was built between 1387 and 1388 and it's located in the Municipality of Batalha. This Municipality is about 100 kilometers from Lisbon and has its Monastery, the main tourist point. The Monastery of Batalha took almost two centuries to build and the architecture is considered as late Gothic or Manueline in Portugal.

Nazaré became world famous for the giant waves that form in the Nazaré Canyon. But this city in Portugal offers other attractions that give even more reasons to visit. Nazaré beach is a neighborhood, by the sea, of one of the most traditional Portuguese fishing villages, Nazaré, with the most popular bathing beach on the west coast, in the Centro region, where you can still find, on the sand, some women dressed in the traditional costume of seven skirts, taking care of the fish that dries in the sun, lined up on stilts.

Also known as the Concha (shell), the bay of São Martinho do Porto arises with the progressive silting up of the old lagoon, being nowadays a beach of distinct beauty in the shape of a shell. The Atlantic Ocean flows between the Morros do Farol and Morros de Sant’Ana. Today it is a place for family walks, par excellence, with a waterfront that runs along the entire beach. The area is quite lively during the bathing season. For those who like to camp there are two campsites about 3 minutes from the front of the beach.

This beach was one of the finalists in the 7 Wonders of Portugal competition. On the way to the beach you can stop at the viewpoint of Penedo Furado where you can enjoy the beautiful landscape over the green hillside. Next to the river beach of Penedo Furado, be sure to also visit the “Bicha Pintada”, a fossil estimated to be over 480 million years old, inserted on top of a layer of quartzite.
