Pena Village

Aldeia da Pena is a village located in the municipality of São Pedro do Sul, district of Viseu. It is one of the typical villages made of shale. It is located in the Serra de São Macário, at the bottom of a deep valley, so access by car is somewhat complicated, and vehicles are not permitted to enter the village. Aldeia da Pena currently has only thirteen inhabitants with a few houses for housing. Despite being practically deserted, it is a must-see for nature lovers.
