Portugal has a reputation for beaches and mild weather, which is fair for about nine months of the year. What fewer visitors realise is that the interior gets properly cold, and that between December and March there are parts of the country where it snows.
A word of honesty before the list: only the high ground in the Serra da Estrela gets snow reliably.
