In the historical centre of Lousã you will find comfortable holiday apartment “Trevim”. The apartment is situated on the first floor of the authentic house "Casa Serra da Lousã". This apartment is equipped for 4 people and has facilities for children. The apartment has a view across the “Serra da Lousã”. It has its own entrance a livingroom, 2 sleeping rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom.

Facilities

Behind its own entrance, there is a stair to go one floor up. Upstairs is a nice living room with a sitting area, a little library and a television. This room can be kept cosy and warm with the pellet heater. In the winter, the heater is filled with pellets ready for your arrival. And in summer there is a fan to blow fresh air through the apartment. This apartment also has a closet with board games, ideal for spending time together in the apartment. But of course, you can also sit in the park in front of the house and enjoy the setting sun. The kitchen has a countertop with the cooking stove and also the dining area for 4 people. In addition to the normal kitchenware, there is a microwave with grill, refrigerator, espresso maker, electric water heater and a toaster. Kitchen linen is provided. The kitchen has central heating. This apartment has two bedrooms, each for 2 people. In the largest bedroom, you will find a double bed, a wardrobe and a big mirror. In the other bedroom are a bunk bed and a closet. And there are hooks on the wall to hang clothes. We make the beds for you so they are ready for your arrival. The bathroom has a toilet, a warm shower with a large shower head and hand shower, bathroom furniture with a sink with hot and cold water and with a mirror. You can heat this space by central heating. Towels and a hairdryer are provided. As are shower gel and shampoo. This apartment has facilities for children, such as a cot, high chair, stair gate, toys, etc. Furthermore, this apartment has access to WIFI.

Location and surroundings

Lousã has a very old town centre, with beautiful historic buildings like the Town Hall, the church, the 16th century chapel of mercy and numerous old houses, in the traditional style of the region. Besides the historic buildings, there are lots of cosy terraces and restaurants. Near the castle is a river swimming pool and the hermitages of Our Lady of Mercy, that are both worth visiting. The “Serra da Lousã ” offers a lot of opportunities for walking or mountain biking. The highest peak, “Alto do Trevim”, has an altitude of 1200 metres. On a clear day, you can see from this peak all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. And you can swing on a large swing near the peak with views over the valleys and beyond. Or you descend like a bird, with a paraglider. For the daredevils on the bicycle, there is the downhill trail where the world cup is also ridden. You can visit numerous old mountain villages made of slate, where the hard and lonely mountain life is evident. And in the “Serra da Lousã” you might even spot wild animals like deer, boars and foxes. In Lousã and in the surrounding villages there are many possibilities for swimming, both on the Praia fluviais and in unofficial places such as the Cabril in Rio de Ceira The University City of Coimbra is about 25 kilometres away from Lousã. You can get here with your own transport or by bus. You can reach the white beaches of the Silver Coast in approximately 1 hour by car. The Torre, in the National Park “Serra da Estrela” is the highest mountain of the mainland of Portugal and is only about 96 kilometres.
